Real estate agent Monique Couture Joins Sandpoint Realty
It is with great pleasure to announce that agent Monique Couture has joined our team at Sandpoint Realty. 
Raised in Santa Barbara by a family of avid travelers, including a professional travel guide, Monique Couture embraced all opportunities to see and surf the world. She worked for the U.S. Embassy Guyana, in South Africa as a logistics coordinator and as a teacher in rural Japan, surfing everywhere she found a wave.Her father’s tales of commercial fishing in Alaska and thrilling grizzly bear stories drew her north of the Arctic Circle at age 18, where she spent the summer working for the National Park Service in Nome. Loving the remote rugged landscapes, Monique was certain she’d be back to the land of the midnight sun. After college, and against her Dad’s better judgment, Monique returned to the last frontier to commercial fish. She caught and married a handsome Alaskan Commercial Fisherman, fishing many salmon seasons with her husband while managing the family business.Real estate became an added component to the business when adding several properties to their portfolio. Her degrees in International Business and Environmental Policy informed the various transactions and illuminated the importance of a pro-active and detail oriented Realtor®, inspiring her to get licensed to help others navigate the process. Taking a break from boat maintenance in Seattle’s Fishermen’s Terminal, Monique drove east to North Idaho’s Hope Peninsula to visit a friend. Smitten by the natural beauty and creative industrious community, she realized that she was home.Monique loves to explore and would enjoy showing you a slice of Pend Oreille country, assisting with your real estate needs.Rain Silverhawk
